These were artists at their peak, delivering iconic performances that defined the era. Adjusting for inflation, those tickets would cost around 5 times more today—still far cheaper than the £100 to £200 or more that fans now pay to see acts. This shift in pricing reflects not only inflation but also the evolution of the concert industry, where production costs and monopolised ticketing systems have dramatically increased the cost of attending live shows.
